A new NEXUS for $99

A persistent rumor in the last few hours relayed by several large U.S. sites, reported possible sold less than $ 99 Google smartphone. This very aggressive price would be linked to lower needs of Kit Kat, the latest Android platform and a partnership with MédiaTeck manufacturer of semiconductors.

Far from the bustle of high-end smartphones that compete for power and new options whose interest is sometimes questionable, it is a more discreet sector nevertheless focuses the attention of the giants of this insdustrie. Google could overturn the deal by offering a low cost Nexus smartphone to less than 99 dollars.

Some believe that this project, if it is true, could be comparable to the price drop in hardware tsunami 10 years ago. Sure performance enthusiasts and other special features can always turn to high-end devices. But the big use for texting, consultation or sending emails, and of course the phone call, there is a safe bet that these products finds its audience. Emerging countries, but not them, will surely be very interested if this rumor is true.
