A firing plan in preparation at Microsoft

Microsoft could announce this week a large redundancy plan.
Things are moving at Microsoft ... While Satya Nadella, the new CEO of the company sent late last week a memo to all employees of the firm to give his vision of Microsoft and priorities of the coming months, it also appears that a large redundancy plan is in preparation. A plan that could be announced no later than this week.
In fact, according to information reported by the American press agency Bloomberg, and from sources "in the know Microsoft's plans," the Redmond company is expected to announce in the coming days his biggest redundancy plan for 5 years. However, the greatest during this period dates from 2009, when Microsoft had said goodbye to 10,000 of its employees.
More than 10,000 layoffs expected
In other words, this means over 10,000 redundancies are expected. If you do not know the exact number of employees expected to be affected by the plan, it is believed, however know what divisions will be affected. According to reports from Bloomberg layoffs would therefore be expected in the marketing teams and particularly in the Xbox division, a division that Microsoft Satya Nadella and want to keep, but that is not a central priority.
For the rest, layoffs should take place in the newly acquired mobile branch of Microsoft. Indeed, after the merger between Nokia and Microsoft are some duplicate positions within teams of the firm.
