While Satya Nadella, the new CEO of the company sent late last week a memo to all employees of the firm to give his vision of Microsoft and priorities of the coming months, it also appears that a large redundancy plan is in preparation. A plan that could be announced no later than this week.
In fact, according to information reported by the American press agency Bloomberg, and from sources "in the know Microsoft's plans," the Redmond company is expected to announce in the coming days his biggest redundancy plan for 5 years. However, the greatest during this period dates from 2009, when Microsoft had said goodbye to 10,000 of its employees.
More than 10,000 layoffs expected
In other words, this means over 10,000 redundancies are expected. If you do not know the exact number of employees expected to be affected by the plan, it is believed, however know what divisions will be affected.
