Windows 7: the end of the main support in six months

The standard Windows 7 support Microsoft nearing completion. Starting in January, there will be only security patches.
As we remember on Microsoft's support page, the end of mainstream support for Windows 7 is fast approaching. Beware though, nothing to do with the killing of the venerable Windows XP. By "main support" the Redmond hears it "will not accept requests for design changes or new features during the Extended Support phase. "
Indeed, from January 13, 2015, Windows 7 will enter phase extension support. In 6 months for a period of 5 years (normally), the OS that Microsoft no longer offer "updates security at no additional cost and support by paying hotfix." But Windows 7 is not the only product affected by this transition to a slow shelved.
Turn the page. Gently.
Here is a list of products (and their different versions) which will enter phase extension support at the same time as Windows 7: Exchange Server 2010, Windows Server 2008, Windows Storage Server 2008 or 2010 and Dynamics C5 Dynamics NAV 2009 . note that from September 9, Windows Phone 7.8 will also be affected.
To take advantage of future patches, installing the latest service packs (if they exist) is essential. Moreover, the global support of Office 2010 Service Pack 1 and SharePoint Server 2010 Service Pack 1 will stop on October 14.
