Not less than 3 years (!) After the version for iPhone, Facebook Messenger finally arrived in optimized version for the iPad. The email application of social network in its version for the Apple tablet offers exactly the same features as the smartphone version, but fortunately endowed with an optimized size of the screen interface.
Now in version 7.0, the application has recently expanded and become indispensable for users of the site Mark Zuckerberg. For the record, in addition to adding the ability to upload videos in version 6.0, there are a few weeks removed Facebook messaging aspect of its main iPhone application to force users to go through Messenger to chat. Suppression is likely to happen soon on iPad too.
Divide and conquer
The willingness of the social network is to provide more dedicated applications (Facebook, Messenger, Instagram ... etc..) Rather than a single application cumbersome and less easy to monetize. Last April, Mark Zuckerberg stated that there were 200 million users of Facebook Messenger.
To download Facebook Messenger for iPhone and iPad (39 MB, iOS 7.0 + required), it goes as usual on the App Store.
