Making the sms more nerdy, WhatsApp have reached 500 million users worldwide.

WhatsApp, messaging service acquired by Facebook continues to grow, and claims to have reached 500 million users worldwide. Bought last February for 16 billion dollars WhatsApp had 430 million users worldwide in January.

"This is not just a count of persons who have registered on WhatsApp, but the number of people who actually use the application in a month" said Jan Kum co-founder of WhatsApp in January. The application actually experience strong growth in Brazil, India, Mexico and Russia said the company. In detail, we are told that 700 million users share pictures and 100 million videos each day.
